Dr. Colby Stewart was born and raised in Houston, Texas. His father and uncle are both ophthalmologists in Houston. He completed his internship and residency training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, and specializes in general ophthalmology, and laser refractive surgery (LASIK). He has extensive training in cataract surgery, using the no-shot, no patch, technique. Dr. Stewart is board certified in ophthalmology, and is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, and the American Medical Association. He frequently gives continuing education seminars for eye care professionals, and his surgical techniques have been published in international ophthalmic journals. Dr. Stewart is married to Cheryl and they have three children, Hampton, Carolyn and Jackson. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, saltwater fishing, and quail hunting. |
